Our MenoSmarts™ programme gives you everything you need to keep strong and independent as you approach the peri-menopause and beyond.

You’re a smart, proactive woman who knows there’s no magic bullet for this next phase of your life. Maybe you’ve had a few peri-menopause symptoms, perhaps you’ve noticed some changes and you want to take back control of your body. You might have seen your mum, or your friends, struggle with a decline in strength as they aged, and you are keen to make some lifestyle changes so that this doesn’t happen to you. Well you’re in the right place.

The MenoSmarts™ programme is a series of classes to help you set yourself up for a long, healthy life. No matter where you are in your menopause journey, even if it’s still a long way off, it’s never too early to equip yourself with the knowledge and skills to navigate this next phase of your life. Introduction to Strength Training

Beginners to experienced.

The evidence is clear that as our body’s oestrogen production declines, we need to change the way we exercise to better manage how hormonal changes affect our bodies. Once we hit the peri-menopause, it’s recommended that we increase our strength training. But no matter how solid your current fitness regime, this may take you into a new area. Our ‘Introduction to Strength Training’ classes support you to build knowledge and body-awareness so you can confidently work with weights, including your body weight.


We create a safe, non-competitive space, supporting you to build a good technique, and teaching you the skills to listen to your body’s signals depending on where you are in your cycle or stage of menopause.

Low Impact HIIT

Intermediate to experienced.

Our high intensity interval training sessions combine weight training and cardiovascular in one class, helping to raise your metabolic rate while also benefitting your bones, tendons, heart and brain. These sessions of weighted exercises in small bursts are perfect for combatting your slowing metabolism as you progress through the peri-menopause and beyond.


The key difference from an intense HIIT class in the gym, for example, is that we’re mindful of the other changes in your body brought about by the menopause, and we’ve designed these classes to be lower impact, reducing your risk of injury or tissue damage, while still raising your heart-rate. It’s metabolic acceleration without the stress!

Strong Woman

Intermediate to experienced.

A slower paced class with a focus on strength. This class will teach you how to use lower reps, heavier lifting and longer recovery to achieve progressive strength, take your basics to the next level and perfect your movements.

Tendon & Bone Strengthening

Beginner to experienced.

Lower oestrogen levels can impact your bone density and the tendons which attach to the bone. This can impact your mobility and strength. In our ‘Tendon and Bone Strengthening’ classes we take a proactive approach to looking after your bone density, through weight-bearing exercises.

Our controlled programme will focus on technique, repetitions, muscle fatigue and stress management, supporting your optimal bone health in the menopause and keeping you strong and independently mobile.

This class is a circuit-based training class aimed at mixed abilities. If you have no or little experience of strength training we advise you to do the introduction to strength training class first.

If you want to train at a higher intensity and/or increase your metabolic rate we recommend you come to our Low Impact HIIT Training class.
