What can nutrition help you with?
Gut health, inflammation and hormones
Having good gut health and hormone balance will aid a life full of vitality and energy, allowing you to live fully and thrive.
Researchers are increasingly in agreement that your gut microbiome is actually your body’s most important organ. These trillions of microbes in your intestines are crucial for your health, and they communicate with your brain, immune system and other organs. Optimal gut function is also linked with the hormones within your body, which need to be balanced for you to thrive.
Hormone imbalance and gut problems can cause all sorts of issues, including obvious ones such as problems with your bowel, and weight gain. But also some problems which you might not expect, such as anxiety, fatigue, eczema or brain fog. Poor digestion and inflammation can have a knock-on effect to all areas of your body, so we want to get to the root cause of the problem and treat you with the right therapies to bring about optimal hormone balance and a healthy gut microbiome.
Common issues you may be experiencing:
IBS
Constipation and diarrhoea
Bloating
Low mood/anxiety
Brain fog
Poor sleep
Fatigue
Inflammation eg. eczema, arthritis
Increased illness
Cravings
Reflux
Pelvic congestion - affects the pelvic floor and breath
Joint aches and pains
Menstruation
Menstruation shouldn’t be feared and experiencing difficult symptoms/irregularities don’t have to be the norm, yet many of us believe it is. Nutrition through the cycle can be optimised to help you take charge of your cycle, as well as reduce PMS symptoms such as pain, cravings and bloating. Learning to understand your body and feed it what it needs at different stages can be an empowering experience, delving deeper into nutrition and letting food be your medicine.
Making specific changes at specific phases with your nutrition can help with;
Pain
Bloating
Cravings
Mood swings
Menopause
As women age, we go through a hormonal transition at perimenopause, meaning nutrition may also have to change in a different way to what you once knew. Fuelling your body with key nutrients for better symptoms and psychological management can elevate this transition and give you control.
Optimising your nutrition at this stage of life can help with the large variety of menopause symptoms, including but not limited to;
Poor sleep
Low energy
Cravings
Brain fog
Anxiety
Mood swings
Hot flashes
Belly fat
Polycystic Ovaries Syndrome (PCOS)
Polycystic ovarian syndrome can feel unmanageable and misunderstood. Nutritional guidance can improve insulin resistance and weight management to optimise your health and improve symptoms, such as increasing fertility.
